Recipe of the week: Winter Borscht

Well, we finally got to reviewing the winter survey results this week, and want to thank you for all of your nice comments!  Sounds like partners are happy in general, which is great to hear.  This year we’re planning a partner meeting in April, when we’ll take the time to present the inner workings of the farm, talk about our vision of the years to come, and hear what direction our partners would like us to go in, and even share how we’re doing financially.  This is all part of our commitment to transform food into a deep expression of community.  We strive to be a farm that not just sells you veggies, but a farm that grows them for you, with you, and in the way you want them grown.  So we sure hope to see you out on the farm in April!

This week you’ll receive a little basket of micro-greens.  Our summer partners will remember them from the spring, as we use them to provide a taste of fresh greens when there’s not much else available.  They are a mix of brassicas: arugula, mustard, kale, tatsoi, mizuna and will be happiest of your windowsill.  Cut off the tops just before eating to maximize freshness, taste and nutrition! Unfortunately, then won’t grow back.  Please return their trays to us at the following basket pick-up.  In terms of nutrition, check out the following articles:
